Advanced Options

Advanced options live in the Plug-in Manager: go to File ▸ Plug-in Manager ▸ Impossible Things. (Earlier versions had an Advanced Options tab in the Edit Photos dialog; it is no longer shown.)

Edit Exposure & White Balance Only (Edit Settings)

When this is on, Impossible Things only predicts exposure, temperature and tint. Everything else in your preset stays exactly as the preset defines it. Use it if you feel the AI changes your preset's look too much, or if you only want the corrections. It applies to every edit, with every preset, until you switch it off. Off by default. It replaces the White Balance Prediction Influence slider from earlier versions – white balance is now always predicted by the editing engine. Details.

  • Reset Impossible Things clears the "Please wait until the current Impossible Things edit is complete" message if it appears when nothing is running.
  • Send anonymous error reports – error reports are sent anonymously so problems can be fixed; untick to opt out.
  • Send diagnostics to support… sends your plug-in log to the support team when they ask for it. Show log file opens it.

Choose HELIOS (the current engine, default) or ATLAS (legacy), the engine from version 1.92. ATLAS edits with the learning archived from 1.92 on this computer, cannot learn, and doesn't use the HELIOS tuning. It is a temporary fallback that will be retired in a future version – use it only if you need the old results while you Quick Tune and Learn on HELIOS. Export archive… and Import archive… let you carry the archived learning to another computer. Details.
